Random blob generator

Smooth organic shapes for web design: single, layered or scattered. Copy the SVG.

Your rolls appear here. Use ← and → to step back and forth.

Every image is generated in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

Smooth by construction

Control points sit around a circle at jittered radii (Complexity sets how many, Randomness how far they stray) and are joined by a closed Catmull–Rom spline written out as cubic Béziers. That keeps the outline smooth at every point, with no kinks to fix by hand.

Layered mode stacks shrinking blobs for a ripple effect and Scattered drops several across the canvas. Turn on transparent background for a shape you can drop onto any page. The Code panel gives the SVG markup to paste into HTML.

Reproducible by design

Every image comes from a seed. The address bar holds the generator, the seed, the size and only the settings you changed, so the link redraws the exact same picture on any device. That is useful for picking up where you left off, sending someone a design, or regenerating a file at a bigger size later. See how it works.

Questions

How do I use a blob on my website?

Copy the SVG from the Code panel and paste it into your HTML, or download SVG and use it as an image or CSS background.

Can I make a blob with a gradient?

Yes. Set Fill to Gradient. Each blob blends two palette colours diagonally.

Why does it say transparent but the preview shows a checkerboard?

The checkerboard marks transparent pixels. Download PNG, WebP or SVG to keep the transparency.

Are blobs reproducible?

Yes. The same seed and settings give the same path, point for point.
