Bulk random images

Test data for developers and QA. Choose the count, sizes, formats and target KB, and get one ZIP with a manifest.

Generators in this batch

4 selected

Sizes

Up to 4096 px per side in bulk mode.

Formats and file size

With several formats selected, each file gets one at random. SVG applies to vector generators; raster-only items fall back to PNG.

Target file size
85

Every image is generated in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

Test images that behave like real ones

Solid-colour test files compress to almost nothing and never exercise your pipeline. These are real generated pictures: abstract art, gradients, textures, avatars, placeholders and more, so file sizes, colour content and aspect ratios vary the way user uploads do. Mixed sizes come from a range or from social and wallpaper presets, and mixed formats are drawn per file.

Reproducible batches

A batch is defined by its seed and settings. Item n always uses seed batchSeed-n, and its generator, size and format come from a stream seeded by the batch. Run the same configuration next week and you get the same pictures. The encoded bytes can differ slightly between browsers, because each browser ships its own PNG, JPEG and WebP encoders.

Upload-limit testing

Many application forms state a pixel size and a file-size window for photos and signatures, often a few tens of kilobytes. Set Fixed size, a target in KB and Pad to exact bytes to produce files that sit exactly on, just under or just over a limit. Always confirm the current limits on the official portal; they change.

Questions

Who is bulk mode for?

Developers and QA testers who need many real image files: seeding a database, filling a gallery, load-testing an upload endpoint, or checking how a page handles odd sizes and formats.

Can I get files of an exact size in bytes?

Yes, for PNG and JPEG. Set a target size and turn on Pad to exact bytes. The file is encoded under the target, then topped up with a PNG tEXt chunk or a JPEG comment segment. Decoders ignore both, so the pixels do not change.

What is in manifest.json?

One entry per file: name, generator, seed, width, height, format, bytes, quality where it applies, whether it was padded, a link that redraws that exact image, and a note when a format fell back or a target could not be met.

Is anything uploaded while the batch runs?

No. Images are rendered and encoded in this tab and the ZIP is assembled in memory. Watch your browser's network panel: no request carries image data.

How many images can I make?

Up to 1,000 per batch, each up to 4,096 px on a side. Large batches use a lot of memory because the ZIP is built in the browser.
