Five rulebooks, not a pile of shapes
Random shapes thrown on a canvas rarely look like anything. Each style here is a small rulebook instead. Bauhaus grid fills a grid with quarter-circles, half-discs, triangles and stripes, each cell rotated in 90° steps. Scattered shapes drops a few large forms and many small ones (sizes follow a power curve, the way a still life does). Arcs radiates concentric rings from one to three anchor corners. Bands & lines sets bold stripes at an angle with a focal circle on top. Confetti is a Memphis-style field of squiggles, rings, crosses and dots.
All of them draw from one palette per roll. The palette comes from a colour-harmony scheme with an even lightness ladder (computed in OKLCH), so the shapes contrast with each other and with the background.
Abstract backgrounds at any size
Every composition is vector. The same seed at 1080×1080 and at 3840×2160 is the same picture, only sharper, so you can make a desktop background, a phone wallpaper and a social post from one roll. Download SVG to keep editing it in a vector tool.
Reproducible by design
Every image comes from a seed. The address bar holds the generator, the seed, the size and only the settings you changed, so the link redraws the exact same picture on any device. That is useful for picking up where you left off, sending someone a design, or regenerating a file at a bigger size later. See how it works.
